Allen Capps

November 19, 2012 Allen "Al" Carol Capps passed from this life on November 6, 2012 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 71 years, 7 months and 17 days. He was born on March 20, 1941 in Hendersonville, NC to George J. and Virginia Sue (Hudson) Capps. On January 15, 1964, he married Marcella Faye (Vacura) Capps. They would have celebrated their 49th anniversary in January. Al was a loving husband, father and papa. He loved spending time with his family he enjoyed fishing, loved his animals and loved working on his semi truck. Al drove a semi for 35 years. He was a very hard worker and was a very giving person. Al would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it! He was a very kind, gentle and simple man! His grandchildren meant everything to him he loved teasing them! He will be truly missed by all of us! Al was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; and two sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Marcella; children, Treasa and David Elam of Lindsay, OK, Mark and Sonja Capps of Lindsay, OK, Loretta Capps of Catoosa, OK, Becky and Tommy Cantwell of Salina, OK, and Roy and Dana Capps of Flatrock, NC; grandchildren, Lindsey, William, T.J., Cameron, Dylan, Desiree and Shyann; great-grandchildren, Brayden and Ryder; sisters, Rachell and Rita; and numerous other family members and friends. Visitation will be held from 5-7 Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Kennedy-Kennard Funeral Home in Catoosa and a Graveside Service will be held at 2 PM Friday, November 9, 2012 at Wofford Cemetery in Catoosa with Pastor David Elam officiating. www.kennedycares.com
