August 14, 2012 Anita Graham began her life's journey on July 15, 1927, in Des Moines, Iowa, born to Gerald and Boydeania Rodgers. She passed peacefully from her home surrounded by those she loved and who loved her on August 13, 2012, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. View Memorial Video Anita is survived by her husband of 63 years, Roger;
three sons and wives, Vaughn and Candace Graham, Mark and Kirsten Graham, Eric Graham and Virginia Graham, six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, all of Tulsa;
her brother, Paul R. Rodgers, PhD and his wife, Lois, Western Springs, Illinois. Auntie Nita as her niece and nephews called her, especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends around her swimming pool or one of our lakes in northeastern Oklahoma;
participating in some type of sports, especially tennis, which she loved and played from early childhood. She felt blessed and cared as much about her caregivers, Faye, Stacie, Betty, Jasmine, Debbie and Julie as they cared about her. These wonderful professionals from Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice of Green Country enabled Anita to remain at home as she ended this life's journey. Our thanks go to them and to Dr Alan Keller of Tulsa Cancer Institute for his care and guidance. Anita's life will be celebrated Friday, August 17, 2012 at a 10:00 A.M. memorial service in St. John's Episcopal Church, 4200 South Atlanta Place, Tulsa, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor may be made through the Tulsa Area United Way, 1430 South Boulder, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74119 or through the American Cancer Society. Anita will be remembered in our hearts as a loving soul; having a smile in her voice along with her ever present, good natured chuckle. While you may be out of our sight, we know you will never be far away and always loved, as you loved us. Anita Graham Memorial Video http://youtu.be/JbZme7mQaoE
