Betty Brewer

December 27, 2012 Betty Jean Brewer passed from this life surrounded by her loving family on December 17, 2012 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 85 years, 6 months and 5 days. She was born on June 12, 1927 in Wagoner, OK to Cullis Van and Freda Faye (McKay) Haynes. Betty was a wonderful mother, Granny and Great Granny and will be missed dearly. She loved her family and was very giving. Betty always focused on caring for others and her legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was blessed to spend this Christmas in Heaven with her late husband, Alva Brewer and other loved ones who preceded her in death. Along with her husband Alva, Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Cullis and Freda Haynes; son, Jessie Brewer; and sister, Faye Graves. She is survived by her children, Butch Brewer of Sapulpa; Michael Brewer of Tulsa; Freda Mathis of Oklahoma City; and Rebecca Wilson of Haskell; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends. A celebration of Betty's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 29, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Haskell with Brother Gary McKeen officiating.
