August 13, 2011 Edna Mae Tipton of Catoosa, 86, passed to her Heavenly reward at home surrounded by her family, singing and praising, on April 7, 2011. She was born May 28, 1924 in Sano, KY to Eli Clarence and Rebecca (Huckabee) Allen. Edna married Monroe M. Tipton on August 19, 1941 in Batesville, AR and they had lived in Catoosa since 1951. A member of New Beginnings Assembly of God and Indian Territory Treasure Hunting Club, she enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, treasure hunting, quilting, cooking, pie-making, sewing, flower and vegetable gardening. Preceded by her parents; brothers: Paul and Noah Allen;
sisters: Alma Boly and Mary Harrison; grandsons: Erik Craig Fitzgerald and Larry Joe Tipton. Edna is survived by her loving husband and constant caregiver, Monroe Tipton;
sons: Gerald Tipton and his wife Freda, Dale Tipton and his wife Sue; daughters: Velma Campbell and her husband Keith, Nelda Borst and her husband Mark; 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law J.C.
