Geraldine Culver

Funeral Services for Geraldine Juanice (Vancil) Culver, retired Catoosa schoolteacher, will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 30, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Verdigris with entombment to follow in the Tahlequah Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Kennedy-Kennard Funeral home in Catoosa with visitation from 10:00 A.M until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 29th.
Geraldine was born on July 22, 1922 in Bokoshe, Oklahoma to parents Emory and Elaree (Rush) Vancil. Geraldine taught school for over 33 years at Catoosa Schools, teaching at both the HIgh School and the Middle School. Survivors include: one daughter: Sharon (Culver) Beach, and her husband Mike of Killen, AL; one son: James Robert Culver and his wife Janet Of Verdigris, OK; one sister: Iris Gayle Ikard of Ada, OK; a host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, one great great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews, and many other relatives, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years: Joe F. Culver, Sr., and two sons: Joe F. Culver (Rusty)
Jr. and Thomas Eugene Culver.
