February 1, 2012 Leila Nan Wilder of Catoosa, 83, passed away January 26, 2012 at Rolling Hills Nursing Center. She was born March 25, 1927 in Olive, OK to the late Chester and Lillie Mae Holcomb. She was 1 of 7 children. Preceding her were 2 brothers and 3 sisters: Delton, David, Nathalie, Leota and Marguerite. She is survived by 2 sisters: Nadine Jackson and Jerita Holcomb, both of Harrah. Leila married the late Vernie E. Wilder June 30, 1946. Her children include 1 son Senior Master Sergeant Donovan Wilder and wife Gloria of the United States Air Force in London, England; 1 daughter Glenna Todd and son-in-law Joe of Catoosa; 3 grandchildren: Donovan II of Texas, Tania of Washington, D.C. and Tim and wife Judy of Manhattan, KS; 1 great-grandchild Chelsea of Manhattan, KS. Leila worked as a Secretary at Catoosa First Baptist for over 20 years, was a certified Catoosa Police dispatcher, a publicity writer for Leon McAuliffe and the Cimmaron Boys, at Catoosa City Hall and the Catoosa Tag Agency. Leila was active in the Republican Party and in the Catoosa community. When her children were in school, she was P.T.A. President and Homeroom Sponsor. She enjoyed writing, reading and art.
