Melody Waldo

September 16, 1957 — November 7, 2018

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
Melody Kay Waldo, 61, was born in Almont,
Michigan on September 16, 1957 to Gloria (McCarick) Waldo and T.J. Waldo. Melody was
the oldest of 5 children and spent her childhood growing up in Oildale, California and Banks,
Oregon. She enjoyed her Native Choctaw heritage and often attended pow wows in her early years. Melody had overcome many struggles in her life,
as most of us do...finding sobriety and a loving church home in the last four years of her life. She loved being a part of God's Shining Light Church and everyone there called her "mamma", which she cherished. This church provided Melody with love and acceptance she had always longed for, but had never felt in her life. God's Shining Light also gave her the opportunity to be the mother figure she
always dreamed she could be. Melody was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. She passed away on November 7, 2018 at her home in Tulsa,
Oklahoma. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, son: Allen Byrd; daughters: Gloria Byrd & Olivia Davis; brothers: Ronnie Waldo & Jay Waldo; sisters: Derborah Waldo &
Tammera Waldo;
4 grandchildren as well as friends and loved ones.
