Robert Thompson

Robert A. Thompson was born May 4, 1922 in Paris, Arkansas to George and Servella (White) Thompson. Rob served in the United States Navy during World War II. On November 6, 1944, he married Edith Lorene (Yocham) Thompson. Edith was the love of his life. They were blessed with three children; Linda, Robyn and Darrell. Rob and Edith were lifelong members of the Catoosa Church or Christ and devoted servants to Christ. He loved gardening, fishing, camping and playing out in his wood shop behind the house. Rob showed great pride in his family and his four grandchildren which blessed him with twelve great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter which through the years they renamed him "Grampy Thompy". Rob passed away May26, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is survived by his daughter, Robyn Edmundson of Tulsa; son, Darrell and wife Dena of Claremore; grandchildren, Melissa Batterton and husband Jeff of Kiefer;
Sonny Mathews and wife Carrie of Highlands, Texas; Chad Mathews and wife Lori of O'Neil, Nebraska and Brandon Thompson and wife Kendra of Oklahoma City; plus his great grandchildren, great-great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. Rob is preceded in death by his parents; siblings - George Jr., W.O. and Margie (Thompson)
