He was born December 31, 1980 in Casa Blanca, Guadalupe, Zacatecas, Mexico to Jesus Ortiz Escalante and Eva Becerra Coronado. Silvestre worked at Cowen Construction. He enjoyed fishing, shopping, family, especially his mother, and watching cartoons, soap operas and movies. He is survived by his loving wife Paula Ortiz;
children: Eva Maria, Jesus and Silvestre Ortiz, all of the home; mother Eva Becerra of Catoosa; siblings: Sonia, Jesus Eduardo and Juan Ortiz, all of Mexico, Jose Ortiz of Morris, Fabiola, Claudio, Hector Hugo, Claudia, Ines and Noe Ortiz, all of Catoosa, and Baltazar Gaytan of Tulsa; uncles: Alfredo and Antonio Ortiz and Reyes Becerra; and several nieces, nephews and aunts. Wake: 5PM Monday, January 31-8AM Thursday, February 3 at the Chapel; Mass of Christian Burial: 12PM Thursday, February 3 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church; interment: Dick Duck Cemetery.
