Tommy Carlton

Tommy (Tom) Carlton, 60 of Claremore, Oklahoma passed from this life to his big fishing hole in paradise on January 9th, 2021. Tom born 12 /14/1960 in Wilcox, Az by parents James and Margaret Carlton. Tom was the last of six siblings in birth and death.

Tom met LaDonna Willis in the summer of 79' who became his wife on June 13th 1987, mother of his children, and lifelong partner. They enjoyed traveling and lived in many wonderful places like Willcox Az, Las Cruces New Mexico, Roswell New Mexico, Canyon Texas, Bakersfield, Ca and lastly Claremore, Ok.

Tom retired from Claremore Hillcrest Hospital which allowed him to spend more time doing what he enjoyed like fishing, hunting and driving around to sightsee with LaDonna and his two grandsons. Tom felt like home the most in his last year‘s at his cabin on the lake. Tom restored the cabin with his own hands and created a cozy getaway for family and friends. Tom was extremely witty and a jokester. The more he cut up with you the better he liked you. If you were his unlucky victim, feel loved!

Tom was survived by his wife LaDonna Carlton, daughter Amanda (Carlton) Wilson, son-in-law Darin Wilson, two amazing grandsons Tommy Lee Wilson and Hunter Alexander Wilson and daughter Misty Carlton. Tom left behind many nieces and nephews including but not limited to Eugene, Rene, Roy, and Tish, Woodward. Michelle Vance, Shaun and Robby Taylor. Tom had a special bond with his Wilcox friends he considered family: Braccomontes, Andy (Junie), Ponch, Carmen, Rita, Minnie, Romeriz’, Rudy Stella, Rudy Jo, Cynthia, Randy, Pricilla, Phillip, and Rosemary. Parents in-laws Carl and Betty Willis.
Brother and sister-in-laws. Christina, Elizabeth, Tommy and Tim.

Proceeded in death by parents James and Margaret all siblings James (brother) Carlton, Betty Woodward, Roy Carlton, Bobby Carlton, Shirley (Carlton) and Sonny Taylor, mother-in-law Rose Johnson, Rudy Rameriz, Phillip Rameriz, Nephews Eugine and Roy Woodard.

Tom was cremated by Cremation Care Plus in Tulsa, Ok. The family will host a memorial service on June 12th, 2021 at The Rocky Point Campground, Wagoner Oklahoma. They welcome all of Toms friends and family to send out water lanterns with them at sunset to celebrate the amazing life Tom lived. He will truly be missed by many.
