Twila Long

November 15, 1969 — May 25, 2021

Twila Pearl Long of Tulsa, Ok passed peacefully May 25, 2021 surrounded by family. Twila was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and so much more to so many! To her grandchildren she carried many names. Grandma, Big Mama, and Namama. Her grandchildren are her pride and joys. Twila had a wonderful sense of humor and a kind heart! She was known for always making those around her smile. Her beautiful smile was contagious.

Twila was born to Dr. Delbert and Bertha Brock. The youngest of the bunch, she often had many adventures with her siblings and cousins. Those adventures, she told as fond stories that will live on with her memory. Twila graduated with honors at Project 12, and went on to study pediatric medicine. She met the love of her life Gary in 1985, they spent 32 years together while raising 6 children and making cherished memories.

Twila enjoyed spending time with her best friend Martha, they are truly friends forever.
Twila, like her mother, had a passion to care for animals.
She loved her dog, her baby Chee/Fonce.

Twila is survived by her brother Kevin Brock, best friend Martha, her children Gary and Megan Long, Carrie Sandridge, Christopher and Crystal Sandridge, Gary and Emily Sandridge, Amy and Maranda Long, LaTisha and William Looney. A tribe of Grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Twila is preceded in death by her husband Gary Long, parents Delbert and Bertha, her siblings Rick, Michael, and Gladys, her grandson Logan, nephews Jason Brock, and Brandon Walker, and her childhood best friend Latisha Mullen.
