August 4, 2011 Wanda "Nana" Brewer of Catoosa, 85, passed from this life into the arms of her Savior June 13, 2010 in Claremore. She was born March 3, 1925 to Percy Doyle and Della VanMatre Winfield in Westville. She graduated from Kansas High School in 1943. She married Thomas Lee Brewer of Kansas, OK July 3, 1948 in Pryor. Three children were born to this union. They made their home in Tulsa until 1964. The family then moved to Catoosa and she resided there for 46 years. Wanda was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Catoosa and a devoted member of her Sunday School Class. She was an excellent homemaker and delighted in preparing meals for her family and favorite dishes for each grandchild. Wanda was a friend to many, a good listener, enjoyed watching all types of sports and was an avid O.U. fan. Survivors include her children: Lee Ann Mocabee, Robyn Hall and her husband Norman, all of Claremore; son Rusty Brewer of Catoosa and Janece Brewer of Catoosa; granddaughters: Sara Mocabee of Dallas, TX, Megan Mocabee of Claremore and Jennifer Brewer of Catoosa; grandsons: Brant and Brook Hall of Claremore; brother Dennis Winfield of Ripon, WI; and sister-in-law Ramona Winfield of Kansas, OK; a niece and several nephews. In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Lee Brewer; brothers: Joe & Gene Winfield; sister-in-law Ahnawake Winfield; son-in-law Bob Mocabee; and a precious granddaughter Katelin Brewer. Wanda left a wonderful legacy of love and devotion to her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
