Thomas Hayse Holland died unexpectedly on March 29, 2021 in Grove, OK at the age of 77. Tom is survived by his son, Chris Holland and wife Katie of Tulsa, OK.; grandchildren, Keith Holland, Allie Holland and Sarah Holland and great grandchildren, Ethan, Bella, Hannah and Emma, all of Tulsa, OK.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Holland and father Houston Holland; his wife Sue Holland and step children, Todd Crosskno and Shelly Crosskno.
Tom was born in Tulsa, OK on December 19th, 1943 to Hazel and Houston Holland. He graduated from Pryor High School in 1962 and then attended Oklahoma State University. He joined the Marine Corps at the age of 19. During his time in the with the Marines he had Sea Duty on the Enterprise and America carriers at Norfolk Virginia, then served as a Seargent at Camp Pendleton, California. In 1963 he married Louretta DeWees and in 1965 they had their son, Chris. Tom served in the Marine Corps for four years and after that he enrolled at the University of North Texas. The family lived in Dallas, Arlington and Mansfield Texas while he worked for Central Freight. He later moved to Tyler, TX where he eventually retired from Central Freight. Tom like to snow ski, play soccer and run, but his true passion was lifting weights. He loved his grandkids and spent time with them as often as he could.
Visitation will take place from noon - 5:00pm on Friday April 2nd at Cremation Care Plus (8 N Trenton Ave, Tulsa, OK).
A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00am, Tuesday April 6th, 2021 at Cathedral of the Pines Memorial Garden in Tyler, TX.
